What Sift Does

Sift is a Chrome extension that cleans up your LinkedIn feed and helps you filter job listings. It runs entirely in your browser on LinkedIn pages.

Data Collection

Sift does not collect or store any personal data. Specifically:

• No data sent to external servers by the extension itself
• No cookies set by the extension
• No user accounts or sign-in

This website (not the extension) uses Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager to understand page visits and button clicks. Google's privacy policy applies to that data. However, NO PERSONAL IDENTIFIERS are collected. The analytics data is fully anonymous and is only used to improve the experience.

Local Storage

Sift saves your preferences (skipped companies, skipped title keywords, muted keywords, toggle states) using Chrome's local storage API. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

Permissions

• storage: to save your filter preferences locally
• contextMenus: to add a right-click option for muting keywords
• Host permission (linkedin.com): to read and annotate job listings and feed posts on LinkedIn

Third-Party Services

Sift loads the EB Garamond font from Google Fonts. Google's privacy policy applies to that request. No other third-party services are used.
